The Assiteca Group was established in 1982 by some professionals from the insurance sector, and it is now considered one of the major insurance brokers in Italy.
From the very beginning, the Group developed a growth program based on regional penetration, through the acquisition or establishment of local companies, allowing Assiteca to be present in 18 cities in the whole of Italy, in the major national production and entrepreneurial centres.
Thanks to this presence, Assiteca is able to provide a constant consulting and assistance service to the Customer, supported by a comprehensive range of customized services, with technical and business professionalism.
Assiteca also has 3 offices in Spain, in Madrid, Barcelona and Seville, with EOS RISQ Spagna.
Thanks to the collaboration started in 2001 with EOS RISQ, a leading international insurance broking group, Assiteca is now present in 170 countries in the world, guaranteeing an identical approach to Customers’ requirements, identical innovative procedures and a prompt response to the new challenges of a global market.
The Assiteca Group, under the management’s full control, soon became the only large company independent from bank and industrial groups among the main insurance brokers. Its main objective has always been being the industry cultural leader, disseminating knowledge on insurance issues among all its stakeholders and guaranteeing the highest quality standards in terms of insurance consultancy and brokering, technical analysis and corporate risks management.
In 2005, the Assiteca Group was included in the shortlist of the 5 finalists to run for the 2005 edition of the award for financial communication “Oscar di Bilancio” in the category “Small and Medium Enterprises”, – and was awarded the Premio Insurance Elite as best insurance broker at the Milano Finanza Insurance Awards 2005.
In July 2000, Assiteca presented 6sicuro, a group company dedicated to the personal line. 6sicuro is the first free online service in Italy offering users a user-friendly tool to compare, select and buy the car/motorcycle third party liability policy or third party liability + fire and theft.
The Founding Partners
The three partners work in the company and decide the Group’s guidelines.
The resoluteness of the founding partners in pursuing the objectives such as the quality of the service rendered, professional ethical transparency and innovation is a characteristic of the whole company. They are convinced that the customer’s full satisfaction creates a strong and durable alliance and guarantees mutual benefits.
Luciano Lucca
Born in Milan in 1947. He started to work in the insurance business as agent and later as commercial assistant to the owner of the insurance company Toro Assicurazioni in Milan.
In 1972 he founded Verconsult, a broking company specializing in some insurance businesses, and became its director in the subsequent merger of the company with the broker GPA, and Executive Director of SAMA, a Group’s company.
In 1982, with a group of colleagues, he founded Assiteca, becoming a director and later its President and CEO.
He holds many positions in the Group’s various companies.
Mario Ambrogio Monetti
Born in Milan in 1948. He worked in Toro Assicurazioni until 1977, and later in GPA Group’s technical department as an expert of the English and South American markets.
In 1982 he co-founded Assiteca.
He is a member of the board of Assiteca and other Group’s companies.
Edmondo Tettamanzi
Born in Milan in 1947. Like the other partners, he started in Toro Assicurazioni in Milan as head of the Technical Inspectors Department. He later held the position of Board member and Head of national technical services with the broker GPA.
In 1982 he co-founded Assiteca.
He is a member of the board of Assiteca and other Group’s companies.
He is a guest speaker in many seminars and conferences on insurance and he writes articles and specialist publications.
